After some terrible flash flooding over the weekend in the Greater Manchester area, the committee members of Poynton Youth Brass Band discovered that their storage facility at the Vernon Band Room was flooded. Unfortunately, most of the library has been destroyed and several of the instruments have now been written off due to the contaminated water. Props and other items such as Christmas hats and collection boxes have all taken a hit. The band provides most of its players with instruments.
