Manchester Hymn Raises £1,000

The new hymn tune setting of Manchester, released to raised funds for the victims of the Manchester Arena attack, has raised over £1,000 in less than a week. Pennine Music Publishing, the publishers of the work have made the arrangement available both as a digital download, or a traditionally published version. Speaking on behalf of them, Gavin Somerset said, "The orders for this title have been coming in thick and fast from across the globe. Bands all over the world want to lend their support for this cause and it was a great pleasure to send £1,000 to the Manchester Evening News’ fundraising page for the victims and families." Speaking about the success of the new work, the arranger, Andi Cook said, "I’m so grateful to all the bands that have taken the time to purchase this piece. To raise so much money in less than one week is amazing. Thank you all so much." A recording of the work is also in the pipeline which shall be available to purchase via iTunes/Amazon, with all funds going to the appeal. The arrangement itself has had fantastic reviews on social media with bands of all levels being able to access this wonderful hymn setting.
