TUOS Project

Our friends The University of Sheffield, who are running BBE's research into music and wellbeing, have another project they would like our help with. Their new and exciting academic research project is looking at how opinion influences the choices and evaluations made by consumers of classical music recordings. The project is being run by the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts (Switzerland) and The University of Sheffield (UK). As part of this international project, they are launching an online survey for classical music listeners. The aim is to learn from these listeners’ experiences and to understand their view of the classical market. The survey is hosted by Qualtrics, an internationally respected safe online survey tool. It takes approximately 25 minutes and offers a generous prize draw! Up for grabs are five Amazon vouchers of £45 and three of £20 (or the closest fully upward rounded denomination in the chosen Amazon currency). Take the survey here. This is the first ever study to explore musical opinion in this way and your feedback will help generate positive impacts on training and music education, as well as enhance the wider understanding of music aesthetics and expression.
