The Award Selection Process
The awarding panel will be made up of a group of BBE trustees and staff. If necessary, contact will be made with the nominee and/or supporting nominee for more information.
The awards will be presented annually at the Brass Bands Conference, run by Brass Bands England. In 2019 this will be held at the Life Centre, Sale, Manchester, M33 4BP on Saturday 28th September.
For each award winner there will be a certificate and memento to keep.
The nominator will be contacted if their nominee has been selected to receive a prize and asked to encourage their nominee to attend the event to receive the prize in person, or designate someone to collect it on their behalf.
The Brian Hicks Award for Services to Youth is an existing award that will be presented at the conference. Nominations can no longer be received for this award in 2019.
