Working for BBE is never boring! Thoughts, ideas and perspectives are not only listened to, they are acted upon. It's refreshing and exciting. I feel a valued part of an organisation that does important work.

We value skills

At BBE, we believe that the best teams are built from a diverse range of experiences. We’re proud to employ talented individuals from all walks of life, including those with a passion for arts and culture, and specifically those who have lived experience in brass banding. But we are just as excited to welcome applicants who bring fresh perspectives from different backgrounds, industries, and life paths. Whether you're a seasoned professional in the arts or looking to start a brand new chapter, we invite you to explore the opportunities to join our team.

The thing I value most is the flexible working on offer, which lots of organisations have pulled back from post-covid. There’s genuine support for families and work-life balance, with a passionate and driven team.

We're flexible

We are committed to fostering a culture of flexible working, inclusion, and accessibility. We offer a flexible working culture in terms of time and location, with a hybrid approach where most staff can choose how and where to split their time. This is paired with a family-friendly and disability conscious attitude. We pride ourselves on being an inclusive employer, and our recruitment process reflects this through measures like anonymising applications before shortlisting to ensure unbiased decisions. We also have a guaranteed interview scheme for any disabled candidate who meets all the essential criteria for a role.

Please find below a list of current opportunities with Brass Bands England. For paid employed positions, please download and complete the Diversity and Equality Monitoring Form for submission along with your application.

Current Opportunities

Filming and Editing Opportunities

As part of a wider project funded by National Lottery Heritage Fund, Brass Bands England (BBE) are excited to announce three available filming and editing projects available for expressions of interest.

These projects are focused on showcasing and sharing ongoing BBE’s ongoing Diverse Voices Oral History and Exhibition project, and national Brass Band Week Campaign.

You may wish to submit for all three opportunities, or the ones which best fit your skills and experience. However, as there is a limited timeframe for delivery over the next few months, it is unlikely that we will offer all three opportunities to any one individual or company.

Deadline: Friday 15 May
