Lewes, Glynde & Beddingham Brass Band
About
A friendly, thriving, contesting brass band in the heart of Sussex. Originally drawn from the villages of Glynde and Beddingham and founded in 1922, we relocated to Lewes shortly after the turn of the century and are now known as the 'Lewes, Glynde and Beddingham Brass Band', or Lewes Brass for short. We have an active membership in our adult band, and a flourishing youth programme comprising two training bands, and outreach sessions in local primary schools. Our engagements calendar features the traditional brass band fodder. Highlights include regular concerts on the historic Eastbourne Bandstand, participation in the world-famous Lewes Bonfire celebrations, as well as our own promoted concerts and a challenging contest schedule.
