This is the Brass Band Conductors' Association flagship conducting competition, the final of which will be judged online on 27 June 2021. Use this form to enter and upload your conducting video(s) by 31st May 2021.
This is an exciting opportunity for conductors of all levels and nationalities to take part in a conducting competition. The winner will receive a cash prize of £500, a year's free membership of the Brass Band Conductors' Association and a glass plaque. Previous winners include Josh Geddes, Mark Edwards and Brendan Breslin, who have used the contest to launch careers in conducting.
Applicants are asked to submit videos of themselves conducting, from which 3 entrants will be chosen to have their video entries judged in the online final. See the competition rules before entering. The closing date for entries is 31st May and judging of the 3 finalists will be broadcast on 27th June.
All members of the BBCA who enter will receive an audio commentary giving feedback on their entry. Join the BBCA.
