A now annual tradition, the winner of the Band Project of the Year Award is decided by the banding community. The shortlisted nominees are:

  • The Brass Brigade
  • Burbage Works, Burbage Band (Buxton)
  • Bratton Brass Roots
  • Halifax Youth Brass Festival

Winners to be announced at The Brass Band Conference 2025

The winners of the Awards will be announced in a special ceremony at The Brass Band Conference 2025 on Saturday 27 September at the Redhills Durham Miners Hall, Durham.

Themed around ‘The Next Generation’, the programme for this year’s event will focus on intergenerational learning, leadership, inclusion and the changing landscape of participation in the brass band world.

Tickets will be available from 10am on Friday 20 June, via the BBE website. BBE members are eligible for one free delegate place per Organisation or Individual Membership if they book by 25 July.

Following positive feedback from both participating bands and audiences, Youth Champs will once again be taking place at King Edward's School on Saturday 17 April 2027.
