Betteshanger Colliery Band

[title]

Betteshanger Colliery Welfare Band appointed a new MD in July last year when long-standing MD John Goold retired after many years associated with the Brass Band movement Mike West brings a wealth of experience and has had a long-established history with the Betteshanger Band where he and his Father have played in solo positions within the band. Mike will be returning the band to the competitive stage in March where the band will be performing at entry level having not competed for almost ten years. The band sees almost a full band at rehearsals except for the need for a full-time bass trombone player and two shift workers doing their absolute best to juggle shifts where possible to attend rehearsals. The band is very sociable and after working extremely hard during rehearsal, they work equally as hard socialising together afterward, If ever you are in our neck of the woods, drop us an email, and where possible, we will do our best to invite you along.
