Bodmin Town Band was formed in 1927. Contest successes saw the Band develop quickly, these achievements were rewarded by being promoted to the Championship Section in 1959, where we remained for 50 years. We always recognise the need to support local Contests and Associations, having won numerous prizes at the West of England Bandsmen’s Festival and have also held the Cornish Champions title on a number of occasions. We are also very proud of our amazing record at the South West Brass Band Association Championships, with over twenty victories in the Championship Section. We are fortunate to have played under some amazing Musical Directors, most recently John Maines, Simon Badge and currently Colin Hudson. 2022 saw us win 1st place at the WEBBA Regionals and promotion to the Championship Section. We will be continuing to work hard to build the standard and name of Bodmin Town Band for the future.
