[title]

Founded in 1905, we have been playing and performing for over 100 years. Founded by Allan Moxey, whose grandson Jim Moxey conducted the band up until more recent years. We are a friendly and family-oriented Brass Band, our players are drawn from Burtle and the wider Somerset area, ranging from Watchet to Glastonbury, and from Cheddar to Yeovil. Our intention is to carry on the traditions of the Band and serve the community.

Burtle Silver Band has retained its original image as a friendly village band. Players of any age, background and ability are welcome to join.

The Band rehearses on Thursday evenings at Burtle Village Hall at 7:30pm. The rehearsals are relaxed but purposeful: we get together and play music with a purpose. We do not enter contests.
