Corby Silver Band was formed in 1902/3 to play at the Corby Pole Fair. We are an enthusiastic group of musicians led by our recently appointed Musical Director Jonathan Lockwod. We placed 6th in the 2023 midlands are and are currently 5th over all in the 4th section midlands area table. The band won the the midlands area championship title in 2017 and had a brief spell in 3rd section. In addition to contesting the band play at many events around the county of Northamptonshire, from parks to fetes and indoor concerts
We rehearse 1 days a week, Monday and have a second rehearsal Wednesday in the run up to contests. Rehearsals usually take place in the Corby Silver band club on Denford Road Corby on Mondays. The location for Wednesday rehearsals varies as the club is currently closed.
Rehearsal Info:
We rehearse on Monday Nights 8.00pm-10.00pm. We hold additional rehearsals Wednesday evenings periodically as required
