Linthwaite Band was established in 1852, making us one of the oldest brass bands in the country. We are also the only band to have been disqualified from the National Finals!
We are a hard working band who are self-supporting. We finance ourselves from our wide variety of engagements throughout the year. We are a contesting band and are currently in the Fourth Section.
We have always been, and still are, a happy, friendly, family-orientated brass band. We aim to warmly welcome anybody who wishes to come and join us, regardless of the length of their visit.
