Manx National Youth Band

The Manx Youth Band (MYB) was founded in 1970 by the late T J "Jim" Crosbie MBE. Now under the baton of musical director Ian Clague MBE, the Manx Youth Band has nurtured some of the very best young musicians in the Isle of Man and provided generations of islanders with the chance to forge lifelong friendships and memories from their association with music.

Manx Concert Brass (MCB) was formed in 1995 as a direct result of the Manx Youth Band’s own success in promoting music for young people in the Island. As the years passed, more and more players beyond the age of 19 expressed a desire to remain and, as a result, Manx Concert Brass was created as part of the organisation with no upper age limit.
