We are a friendly band that has worked its way up through the sections through hard work and dedication. We are currently the highest ranking band in Devon and have recently been promoted to the Championship section (effective from January 2020). The Band is fortunate to to be sponsored by South West Communications
Current members travel from various regions within Devon to rehearse in Lympstone and there is a high level of commitment from everyone.

Our Musical Director is Sam Hairsine. Sam is currently the Director of Music of The Band of Her Majesty’s Royal Marines, CTCRM, and joined SW Comms Band as their MD in March 2019.
We have a training band associated with the band and they use our rehearsal room on a Saturday morning. Some of the SW Comms Band members also help out with the training band.

We rehearse on Monday and Thursday evenings.
