Most of the musicians in Thoresby Colliery Band are passionate amateurs, who devote a considerable amount of their free time to rehearsals, performances and personal practice. The band rehearses twice a week at their band room in Clumber Park, and combines a wealth of experience to achieve the standard of performance you hear today.

Rehearsal Info:

We normally rehearse Monday and Thursday evening from 7.45pm - 9.45pm. We also add in extra rehearsals and sectionals in the weeks leading up to a major contest.

Rehearsals are usually followed by a drink in our local pub, The Park Inn, located next door to the band room.
