You can become a member of BBE either as an organisation or as an individual

Awards nomination information

Awards will be granted to either individuals, or to bands and banding organisations, who have been nominated by members of their band or those outside of their band.

  • Membership of Brass Bands England (BBE) is not a requirement for either the nominator or the nominee
  • These awards are open to all and not restricted to residents of England. However, the awards will be judged on the activities and benefits recognised within England
  • Persons of any age may be nominated except where specifically shown
  • Bands/organisations may include wind bands and other band formations that have a significant brass section
  • Previous winners of the Lifetime Achievement Award and the Services to Youth Award will not be eligible for the same award again
  • The name of the nominator(s) will not be revealed to the nominee, or anyone else outside of the judging panel, without prior consent
  • BBE will not announce names of nominees who are not shortlisted
  • Nominations made by BBE Trustees or staff cannot be accepted
