This training session is the newest in our series of Band Governance training workshops. Find out more in our Band Governance update. This course is ideal for banding organisations that are registered charities and wanting to ensure their governance structures are working well, and looking to raise funds and diversify their income streams. If you are not a registered charity, our Band Organisation Essentials may be a better fit for you.
What will the course cover?
During the training session, attendees will cover:
- Board and committee structures
- Volunteer management
- Budgeting
- Income generation and fundraising
- Project planning
- Policy updates
Who will be delivering the training?
This session will be co-delivered by by BBE’s Chief Operating Officer Sarah Baumann and Fundraising Manager Beth Lambert.
Along with the two 2-hour live training sessions on Zoom, attendees will be provided with a workbook and access to the training resources after completion. After the group session, all attendees will be offered a 1:1 follow-up to discuss any specific areas they need further support on.
Included in the course fee is a free search for five suitable funders for a project you’re fundraising for as part of the BBE Fundraising Service.

Who is this training for?
This training is ideal for a Chair, Treasurer or key decision maker of a band. To get the most out of the training we would recommend more than one person from the same band attend the session.
How much does it cost?
Future Proofing your Band is currently only available to BBE members, at a cost of £60 per attendee.

This training is delivered across two evening sessions (6-8pm) on Thursday 10 October and Thursday 24 October.
