UniBrass: The National Universities Brass Band at Barker's Pool, Sheffield City Centre

Join UniBrass's National Universities Brass Band for a special free performance in Sheffield city centre.

The National Universities Brass Band will play a collection of music to visitors of Sheffield's city centre. The programme will including popular tunes from Gershwin’s Strike Up the Band to The Beatles Hey Jude, as well as some classic pieces for brass band.

The band will be conducted by David Thornton, musical director of the famous Grimethorpe Colliery Band.

The performance is free, is not ticketed, and is open to all members of the public.

Barker's Pool is a public city square in the centre of Sheffield. It is home to Sheffield's City Hall, Grade II listed war memorial, and two beautiful large-scale water fountains. A perfect location to cool off and enjoy a break from your shopping, whilst listening to some fantastic live music. This concert is part of UniBrass's summer school, Band Camp, for young brass musicians.
