UniBrass: The National Universities Brass Band perform at Hesley Wood Scout Activity Centre

The National Universities Brass Band's first performance of Band Camp 2021! The band will play a collection of music including popular tunes from Gershwin’s Strike Up the Band to The Beatles Hey Jude, as well as some classic pieces for brass band.

The performance is free, is not ticketed, and is open to all members of the public. This will be a standing concert and will take place outdoors, on site at the Hesley Wood Scout Activity Centre at the Campfire Circle.

The band will be conducted by David Thornton, musical director of the famous Grimethorpe Colliery Band.

This free concert is part of UniBrass's summer school, Band Camp, which Hesley Wood is pleased to host this year. Organisers are grateful to Ecclesfield Parish Council for supporting our stay at the venue. Band Camp is also supported using public funding from Arts Council England.
