BandSafe (South East)

Registration is closed for this event
This child safeguarding course will be co-delivered by Sarah Stanley (Brass Bands England) and Cate Meredith, Senior Consultant for the NSPCC (Voluntary and Community Sector).

In 2016 Brass Bands England launched BandSafe - a groundbreaking Safeguarding self-assessment tool, which is currently being used by hundreds of bands across the UK.

This 3 hour course, developed in partnership with the NSPCC, has been designed to work alongside the BandSafe tool and will help you to ensure your band has adequate safeguarding and child protection arrangements in place, including: roles and responsibilities, safer recruitment, risk assessments, raising concerns and complaints, policy and procedure writing.

All participants will be issued with a certificate of attendance, which will be valid for two years.

* We would encourage people to attend in pairs, along with another person from their band/organisation.

*Special thanks to SCABA for inviting us to the area to pilot this training course.
