The Londonderry Air is a famous folk tune which originated in the county of Londonderry in Northern Ireland.
Phillip McCann is a British (Scots) cornet player and educator, most known for his when he was the principal cornet player at the renowned Black Dyke Mills Band in Yorkshire and his series of five albums entitled “The World’s Most Beautiful Melodies”. Phillip’s passion for playing the cornet and delivering a beautiful sound can be heard in this solo and his performances of various TV themes through the 80s and 90s, including Anna of the Five Towns, Woman of Substance and the immensely popular BBC Television series Hetty Wainthropp Investigates.
