BBE Seek Two New Trustees

Are you committed to the support and promotion of brass bands in England? Brass Bands England is dedicated to the future sustainability and growth of brass bands in England, providing support and advocacy across all facets of the pastime. We are looking for two new trustees who can use their experience and expertise to help to accelerate the organisation’s growth and effectiveness. As a member of the Board of Trustees, you will work with fellow trustees, senior staff and other stakeholders to develop the future strategic aims and objectives over the coming years. As a trustee, you will be expected to provide an appropriate level of challenge and support to senior staff within Brass Bands England. The Board meets a minimum of five times a year, usually in Barnsley. Together with other trustees you will oversee the strategic direction of the charity and help ensure that the Brass Bands England remains cohesive and forward thinking. Following a recent skills audit we have identified the need for two trustees who have expertise and experience in the following areas: • Marketing and Public Relations • Fundraising/bid writing If you would like to know more about the role or discuss it informally with the Chair, please, in the first instance, contact Louise Jones, Operations Co-ordinator on 01226 771015.
