Publicise your band and gain support from new volunteers
Volunteers' Week runs this year from the 1st to the 7th of June; in fact, this is the annual event's 30th year. Have a look at http://volunteersweek.org for ideas and support. You could base a Facebook or Twitter campaign around seeking volunteers, or contact your local press. Perhaps your band would love new board members, librarians, concert tea-makers, poster-designers...this list is endless! Decide what you are seeking, what experience any volunteers should bring, and what tasks they could help you with. Don't forget that generous people giving up their free time need to have an idea of how much time they'll be giving! And finally - remember, most players and committee members are volunteers! Time to celebrate?
