BBE has issued a warning that spaces are now extremely limited for the National Youth Brass Band Championships of Great Britain, Youth Champs, due to take place on 25 March at Stockport Grammar School.

Only two places remain available to perform in the ABRSM Championship section and only one place in the Performance section. The non-competitive Besson Prodige Showcase section has the capacity for more bands to attend the event.

Once places have filled up for the competitive sections of the event, a waiting list will be formed for any further entries.

Jess Wilson, BBE’s Projects Officer, commented: “With another week to go until the registration deadline, we know that there may still be bands yet to submit their application to perform. Whilst we’re thrilled to have had such a positive uptake of bands eager to perform this year, we wouldn’t want anyone to miss out. So, get your application in now! I’m pleased to confirm that space remains in the Besson Prodige Showcase section, which is open to bands of any level to perform in a non-competitive environment.”

Please visit the Youth Champs registration page to register your band as soon as possible. Registration will close on 17 January or when places are filled.

Audience tickets are available now at an advance rate of £5 for children, £13 for adults, and free for under 5s. Tickets can be booked from the Youth Champs tickets page.
