Beat of Brazil with Charanga do Franca (BR) at Jazz Cafe

Brazilian fanfarre Charanga do França perfoming for the first time in England! After releasing a compilation a couple years ago with UK label Mais Um Discos, the band comes to Europe for the debut tour, playing also at Roskilde Festival and Northe Sea Jazz Festival. Based in Sao Paulo, the band is the fundation of a huge carnaval parade, gathering over 150 musicians, bringing almost 50 thousand people to the streets. The 8 piece band released 8 studio albums, mixing samba, afoxé, ijexá and other traditional brazilian rtythms with cumbia, jazz and a bit o pop music. The result is a powerful dancing party that everyone can enjoy.
