European Brass Band Festival 2022

Four days of brass banding events in the City of Birmingham!

The European Brass Band Festival 2022 will take place 28 April – 1 May in Birmingham, UK.

The festival encompasses a number of events, including the European Brass Band Championships, which will take place at Birmingham’s Symphony Hall on Saturday 30 April and Sunday 1 May 2022.

The festival programme will include:

  • Opening Concert with the Band of HM Royal Marines and the National Youth Brass Band of Great Britain (Thu 28 Apr, Town Hall Birmingham)
  • Concert with Grimethorpe Colliery Band and the European Composers Competition (Fri 29 April, Town Hall Birmingham)
  • The European Youth Brass Band Contest (Sat 30 April, Symphony Hall Birmingham)
  • The European Brass Band Championships (Sat 30 Apr & Sun 1 May, Symphony Hall Birmingham)
  • Gala Concert with the Louis Dowdeswell Big Band and the Cory Band (Sun 1 May, Symphony Hall Birmingham)
  • Festival Closing Party (Sun 1 May, Symphony Hall Birmingham)

When can I book for an EBBF event?

A Ticket Lottery for your chance to gain priority booking for the European Brass Band Championships (Sat 30 Apr & Sun 1 May) will open on Monday 23 August and remain open for entries until midnight on Friday 10 September.

This will give those keen to attend the chance to secure their tickets a months before anyone else. To be notified when the ticket lottery is open, please register for the BBE mailing list.

General ticket sales for the Championships will open on Monday 6 December and tickets for other festival events will also go on sale this winter. Please register for our mailing list to be alerted when event ticket sales open.
