Brass Bands Project Fund

The Brass Bands Project Fund is open for applications from Brass Bands England Member bands and Individuals for the following purposes:

  • Encouraging participation in brass banding for young people

  • Commissioning and creation of new works for brass bands

  • Projects with a focus on making the brass banding community more inclusive and diverse

  • Supporting bands in need of emergency funds to survive

Priority is currently being given to applications for emergency funds. Applicants may consider an application to the Norman Jones Trust initially if this is not the case.

Our Project Fund grants are designed to be used as match funding against larger funding applications such as Arts Council England Project Grants, but also to support bands who apply for financial help in a time of crisis.  Monies in The Brass Bands England Project Fund have been donated to support bands via 2020 The Brass Bands England Emergency Fund campaign and the 2021 Brass Band Project Fund crowdfunding campaign.

Documentary evidence will be requested to support all applications, which will be subject to approval by designated Brass Bands England Trustees, whose decision will be final.
