Raise The Roof Concert

After hearing on Radio York of Swintons appeal Alison Davis MD of numerous choirs wanted to help. The choirs Alison runs perform throughout the year for various local organisations and charities. Alison said “I thought this was an ideal opportunity for Ryedale Voices to help with the fundraising effort whilst collaborating with the band!” Ryedale Voices is a mixed voice choir of 44, and rehearses in Norton on Tuesday evenings. The choir’s repertoire includes folksongs, musical theatre and spirituals and well as some well-known popular songs. Ryedale Voices Choir and Swinton Band will be joining together in a “Raise The Roof” concert on Saturday 18th May at 7pm in St Peter’s Church, Langton Road, Norton. Both organisations will be doing a set each and will then join forces for a grand finale.
