A special free event for Brass Band Week!
Drawing players solely from the local community, Burbage Band has an unbroken 164 year history, playing together even while away at war, to flourish in an era that has seen the decimation of the brass banding world. A small village with a big heart of brass.
In 2024, Burbage Band delved into their past with an ambitious project ‘Burbage Works’, culminating with their biggest ever live performance. This exclusive film premiere on Sunday 13 July follows Burbage Band’s journey, celebrating the social importance of a rich but overlooked part of our heritage and the rule of music-making in the community.
