Catch all the action from Warwick!

This weekend’s National Youth Brass Band Championships of Great Britain, which will be staged this Saturday (30th) by Brass Bands England (BBE), promises to be a very exciting event, but for those of you who will be an able to travel to Warwick, it will still be possible to get a flavour of the action!

BrassPass will be present in the fabulous facilities of Warwick School and will be recording all four sections of the Youth Champs for its brasspass.tv channel on the Internet. The performances will viewable from next Wednesday evening (3rd), which will undoubtedly make for fantastic viewing!

4barsrest will also be present throughout the event to present its own video diary of the occasion, featuring news, views and interviews with many of the participants and, perhaps, a surprise guest or two! As well as BBE’s own social media outlets on Twitter and Facebook, British Bandsman and Brass Band World magazines will be present at the Youth Champs, so there will be no shortage of news and in-depth analysis of what promises to be one of the most vibrant banding events of the year.

Speaking about the coverage of the Youth Champs, BBE Chief Executive Officer Kenny Crookston said: “We are delighted with the overall response to the ‘makeover’ we’ve given the Youth Champs, but we also recognise the importance of letting as many brass band lovers as possible worldwide get a taste of what we hope will be a very enjoyable and musically rewarding event. The BrassPass coverage will surely have global appeal, especially with ‘Grandma and Grandad’ in distant parts of the world, but for those who can’t wait until their coverage goes out next week, tune in throughout the day to www.4barsrest.com for a great taste of the action from Iwan Fox and his team!”

Tickets for the Youth Champs, which begin at 10.00am on Saturday 30 March and are expected to finish around 8.00pm, are available from the BBE website at www.bbe.org.uk and at the venue.
